Cars in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Around 50 cars have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state early analysis suggest the substance was likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for tips.

An important political figure said the incident rendered him stunned and required to be addressed promptly.

"This act affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
